PM Awas Yojana: Booking of dream house started from today for only Rs 3.50 lakh, apply this way
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) Mission launched on 25th June 2015 which intends to provide housing for all in urban areas by year 2022. The Mission provides Central Assistance to the implementing agencies through States/Union Territories (UTs) and Central Nodal Agencies (CNAs) for providing houses to all eligible families/ beneficiaries against the validated demand for houses for about 1.12 cr. As per PMAY(U) guidelines, the size of a house for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) could be upto 30 sq. mt. carpet area, however States/UTs have the flexibility to enhance the size of houses in consultation and approval of the Ministry.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana: Booking of your dream home has started for just 3.50 lakh rupees under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Under this scheme of the government, people of weaker sections of the country can build their dream house in urban or rural areas. Under this scheme, for the first time home buyers are being given the benefit of Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS).
What is Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme?
Credit linked subsidy scheme means that home buyers are provided subsidy on the interest of home loan. The central government has extended the credit linked subsidy scheme under the PM Awas Yojana till 31 March 2021. This will benefit more than 2.50 lakh middle class families. It is a central government sponsored scheme, which was launched on 25 June 2015.
Booking starts in these cities from today
The Uttar Pradesh Housing Development Council has started booking for houses of 3,516 Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in 19 cities of the state from Tuesday i.e. September 1. People will be able to book them from September 1. This house will be provided to the poor for only Rs 3.50 lakh. Under this, a total of 3,516 houses will be booked. Booking has been started in Lucknow for maximum 816 houses. Under this scheme, people wishing to buy a house can apply online till 15 October.
What are the conditions?
Under the booking started for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana by the Uttar Pradesh Housing Development Council, only those whose annual income will be less than Rs 3 lakh will be given houses. The poor of the state will be provided houses for only 3.50 lakh rupees. They will have to return this amount in 3 years. Earlier Uttar Pradesh Housing Development Council made a proposal to give houses on 5 years installment, but it has been reduced to 3 years. Under this scheme, the carpet area of the house to the poor will be 22.77 sqm and the super area will be 34.07 sqm.
Homes will be found in these districts under the scheme
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, maximum number of people will be allotted houses in Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow. The maximum booking of 816 houses will be in Lucknow. Apart from this, 624 houses will be booked in Ghaziabad, 480 in Jagriti Vihar in Meerut and 396 in Gonda. Registration will be done for 96-96 houses in Mainpuri, Fatehpur, Hardoi, Rae Bareli and Meerut in the state. Apart from these, bookings will be done for 48-48 houses in Kanpur Dehat, Kannauj, Unnao, Bahraich, Mau, Balrampur, Kanpur Dehat, Kannauj, Unnao, Bahraich, Mau, Balrampur and Barabanki.
