‘One Nation, One Ration Card’ To Be Implemented Across India From June 1
Under the scheme, any beneficiary using the ration card can purchase goods using the same ration card across the country.

Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on Monday has said the Government will implement the ‘One Nation, One Ration Card’ scheme across the country from June 1. Under the scheme, any beneficiary using the ration card can purchase goods using the same ration card across the country.

“We will implement the ‘One Nation, One Ration Card’ scheme by June 1 in the whole country. Under this scheme a beneficiary will be able to avail benefits across the country using the same ration card,” said Mr. Paswan while speaking to the reporters.
In December, the Government had announced that the scheme will come into effect in 12 states first. The scheme is active in these states since January 1. Under this facility, the beneficiaries of the public distribution of these states can get their share of rations in any of the 12 states.
