Moreover, all private offices will also remain shut during this period said Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

“No public transport services including private buses, autos, e-rickshaws will be allowed during the lockdown period in #Delhi. 25 per cent of the DTC bus fleet will continue to ply on roads of Delhi to carry people involved in essential services.” he added.

Besides Delhi, NCR regions including Gurugram, Faridabad, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Sonipat, Panipat and Panchkula will also be on lockdown until March 31.

Passenger Trains Cancelled

All passenger trains have also been cancelled till 31 March in an attempt to fight the virus spread in the country. The decision comes in the midst of the overwhelming response from the people of the country to Janata Curfew observed on March 22.

Whole India particapted in the 14-hour-long Janata curfew on Sunday and made it a great success. Across the social media channels, people were seen sharing pictures of empty roads and animals taking over the same.

At 5 pm in the evening, the country came out at their balconies banging thalis and clapping to salute the valour of the professionals, doctors and nurses who are risking their lives to make this world a better place to live.
